I haven't updated on here in quite sometime. Vox seems to have grown up some... How's life over here?
Are you a morning person or a night owl?
To be honest, I'm neither of them. I'm right in between. I don't like to get up too early and don't stay up late often. I've never been much of a morning person and I attribute not being a night owl to the fact that I don't drink/club/party/etc.
When I was attending/working at a rave back in "the day", I would be up *kind of* late. My schedule mainly consisted of getting there Friday to help setup at some point in the afternoon/early evening, opening the doors and getting everyone in around 9 or 10, making sure everything was in order and crashing in the back room around midnight, and then waking up to help close up the party and clean up around 4 or 5. We'd get everything done around 7 or 8 and then would head back, usually to Jen's, to sleep until the early afternoon when we would get up and head out to do it again. Sunday was a much needed day of sleep.
We were rockstars back then and sober to boot. I have no idea how I did it but I sure as hell know I can't do that now. Getting to bed at 11 is late for me. =)
What are your personal memories of September 11th?
At the time I was to a point of not watching television for close to a year and also being a master of sleeping in as late a possible since work was literally next door.
For some reason on that morning I woke up early and turned on the television. I turned it on just after the first plane hit. I really thought I was dreaming so I called my mom and told her to turn on the tv. As soon as I heard her gasp, I knew it was all real.
My roommate at the time worked with me and her mother was a big wig in the Credit Card company we worked for. She had just left for New York via plane the night before and my roommate was in hysterics because she couldn't get a hold of her.
We finally made it across the way to work where no one seemed to be doing that. Everyone wanted to know what was going on. I ran and got my radio and someone else ran to get their television. The phone calls coming in had distraught people on the other line just wanting to talk about what was going on. We had one person say they could see the smoke. Another lady said that her child was locked in a school near ground zero and she was crying to us over the phone. It's really hard being on the other side of the Country trying to console these people who had it happening right in front of their eyes.
After a couple hours the company closed for the day and we all went home. My roommates mother finally got through so she was relieved and I was just glad to have her calming down.
In looking back, I still don't know why that day of all days I woke up early as well as turned on the tv. That will probably forever baffle me.

What's your morning beverage of choice? Coffee, tea, juice? Homemade or store-bought?
Since mid June I've been on a Water-Only kick. Occasionally I will try a sip of soda only to find that it's now too sweet for me and that familiar taste is gone. I will admit that I had a gatorade last weekend while spending time out in the sun with my hunny.
Drinking water all the time isn't bad. It was hard to curb the cravings I would have for the first week or two but now it's nothing. Luckily, I've always liked drinking water so it's been easier for me than it would be for others.
What do you usually do on Sunday?
-- My goal for Sundays is usually to relax and catch up on much needed housework/laundry. Today I've managed to accomplish that goal.
In recent weeks we've gone boating, worked, run errands, been stuck in airports, etc...
